Jill Kemp
CWBL.FDA.MA(Dist)
Fellow & Examiner IDTA

Jill qualified as a dance teacher in 1977 and opened the Jill Foster Dance Centre in 1980, which today sees over 400 students of all ages through its doors each week. Over the Years Jill has trained many local, national and international dance teachers, some of which have gone on to win illusive scholarships with the IDTA. Jill has won the prestigious carl Allen award for Freestyle teacher of the year twice (in 2007 & 2014 respectively).

Christian Kemp
FIDTA ADFP

Christian is Creative Director of the JFDC. He is also head of our Competitive Freestyle/Elite squad, runs the Adult Learn to Dance courses and teaches Medallist Freestyle Ballroom & Latin. He has danced his entire life and competed at Championship level for many years before qualifying as a dance teacher. Christian Was the Recipient of the 2010 John Dilwoth Scholarship Award for Dance teaching and the 2021 John Knight Fellowship award for Latin. 

 

His love of dance shines through on every teaching arena and his caring attitude, sand sense of humour keep everybody smiling.

Charlene McCabe
FIDTA

Charlene is the Head teacher at our Medbourne classes, assists throughout the week at many of our other centres, helps with our shows, workshops and special events. Her daughter is also an avid dancer.

​

Charlene has danced with JFDC from a young age and has completed many medal tests before taking her teaching qualifications

​

Charlene is always willing to help and her loyalty and love of dance are a great asset to the JFDC.

Hayley Stainton 
FDA.BA (Hons)
FIDTA

Hayley teaches at our Saturday morning MK Snap sessions and is principal of our Tickford classes. As well as dancing with the JFDC as a medallist for many years, Hayley continued her dance studies at the London School of Musical Theatre and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Hayley also has a BA in Dance teaching from Buckinghamshire New University. 

 

Hayley also takes the JFDC into the community, teaching at retirement villages and centres for adults with special needs. 

Hayley is a professional young lady who is eager to share her knowledge and passion.

Steph Passfield
FIDTA

Steph has been part of the JFDC for many years as a medallist, competitor and teacher. Steph is is a principal Ballroom & Latin American teacher at our Tuesday MK Snap sessions and our Shenley sessions. 

​

Steph plays an active roll in many other aspects of the Dance School, including organising the front desk at our IDTA exam sessions and working as head music technician at our annual showcase. 

​

Steph has a technical approach to teaching and strives to give her students a greater understanding of each dance.

Toni Cole
LIDTA

Toni is the head of our Holmwood Classes. Toni has danced with the JFDC since the mid 80's as a medallist and championship Freestyle Competitor. She qualified as a Dance teacher in 1994 which makes her the longest standing member of staff (behind Jill of course)!

Toni is a kind and caring teacher who always strives to bring the best out of her dancers.

Evangeline Brown
AIDTA

Evangeline, having qualified in 2013 teaches many of the JFDC's junior Freestyle classes and is principal of our Tuesday MK Snap Freestyle sessions.. Evangeline also teachers ballroom & Latin American rosettes and Star Dance students.

​

Evangeline is a confident teacher and is especially popular with our younger dancers.

All staff hold appropriate qualifications, are DBS checked and first aid trained. They are also full members of the IDTA. The International Dance Teachers Association is one of the world's largest examination boards. A leading dance qualifications body and membership association for professional dance teachers, with over 7000 members in 55 countries. The IDTA syllabus is taught in all dance classes and lessons across all of our sites.
