Jill Kemp CWBL.FDA.MA(Dist)

Jill qualified as a dance teacher in 1977 and opened The Jill Foster Dance Centre in 1980, which today sees over 400 Students of all ages through its doors each week. Over the years Jill has trained many local, national and international dance teachers, some of which have gone to win illusive Scholarships with the IDTA. Jill has won the prestigious Carl Alan award for Freestyle teacher of the year twice (in 2007 & 2014 respectively).

Charlene Brown

Charlene is the head teacher at our Medbourne classes, assists throughout the week at many of our other centres and helps with the shows, workshops and special events . Her daughter is also an avid dancer.

Charlene has danced with the JFDC from a young age and completed many of her medal tests before taking her teaching qualifications  .


Charlene is always willing to help and her loyalty and love of dance are a great asset to the JFDC.


Christian Kemp

Christian is Creative Director of the JFDC. He is also head of our Competitive Freestyle/Elite Squad, runs the Adult learn to dance courses and teaches medallist Freestyle, Ballroom & Latin. He has danced his entire life and competed at championship level for many years before qualifying as a dance teacher. Christian was the recipient of the 2010 John Dilworth Scholarship award for dance teaching.


His love of dance shines through on every teaching arena and his caring attitude and sense of humour keep everybody smiling.


Hayley Stainton FDA.BA (Hons)

Hayley teaches at our Saturday Morning MK Snap Sessions. As well as dancing with the JFDC as a medallist for many years, Hayley continued her dance studies at The London School of Musical Theatre and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Hayley also has a BA in dance teaching from Buckinghamshire New University.

Hayley takes the JFDC into the community teaching at retirement villages and centres for adults with special needs.


Hayley is a professional young lady who is eager to share her knowledge and passion.


Steph Passfield

Steph has been a part of the JFDC for many years as a medallist, competitor and teacher. Steph is a principal Ballroom & Latin American teacher at  our Tuesday Mk Snap  sessions.


Steph plays an active role in many other aspects of the dance school, including organising the front desk at our IDTA exam sessions and working as head music technician at our annual showcase. 

Steph has a technical approach to teaching and strives to give her students a greater understanding of each dance. 


Toni Cole

Toni is the Head of our Two Mile Ash and Tuesday MK Snap classes. Toni has danced with the JFDC since the mid 80’s as a medallist and championship Freestyle competitor. She qualified as a dance teacher in 1994 which makes her the longest standing member of staff (behind Jill of course!), Her daughter has also caught the bug and dances with the JFDC two nights a week.


Toni is a kind and caring teacher and she always strives to bring the best out of her dancers.


Charlotte Howell

Charlotte is an Adult Ballroom & Latin teacher and is a wedding first dance specialist. Charlotte has taught for the JFDC and other local dance schools  steadily since qualifying as a dance teacher in 2002. 


Charlotte has a great eye for technique and utilises this when preparing her students for exams. 


Jodie Kemp

Jodie is a Principal teacher at our Shenley sessions and the JFDC's Financial administrator. Before qualifying as a dance teacher Jodie was a successful medallist, Freestyle Competitor and a Royal Ballet Junior Associate. Jodie was the recipient the John Dilworth Freestyle scholarship award and the Bill Tasker Student of the year award.


Jodie is an enthusiastic teacher and brings her experiences from many different dance styles to enhance her students performance. 


Hayley Procter. BSc (Hons)

Hayley teaches adult Ballroom and Latin on a one to one basis. She has danced with the JFDC since she could walk and qualified as a dance teacher in 2001. Hayley was nominated for the John Dilworth Freestyle Scholarship and holds a Foundation Degree in Dance teaching.

Hayley is an energetic and enthusiastic teacher and is very popular amongst her students. 


Evangeline Brown

Evangeline,  having qualified in 2013 teaches many of the JFDC's junior Freestyle classes. Evangeline also teaches Ballroom & Latin American Rosettes and Star Dance students.


Evangeline is a confident teacher and is especially popular with our younger dancers.


Clare Burns

Clare is a Principal teacher at our Shenley and MK Snap Saturday classes.  Clare qualified as a teacher in 2013 after dancing with Jill from a young age as a medallist and a Freestyle competitor. Clare now teaches junior Freestyle, as well as Rosette and Star Dance Ballroom & Latin American.


Clare is always eager to develop the skills of the younger dancer and her sense of humour and respectful approach shines through.


Caitlin Sherry

Caitlin is the principal of our Junior Elite class,  is an assistant competitive coach and teaches at our Medbourne sessions. . She has danced with the JFDC for many years and has completed medal tests in Freestyle and Latin American. Caitlin was Team Captain of the Elite squad and competed at Championship level.

Cailtin has a great temperament with our younger dancers. She is calm, encouraging and brings a wealth of knowledge from her personal experiences within the JFDC.

All staff hold appropriate qualifications, are DBS checked and first aid trained. They are also full members of the IDTA. The international Dance Teachers Association is one of the world's largest examination boards. A leading dance qualifications body and membership association for professional dance teachers, with over 7000 members in 55 countries. The IDTA syllabus is taught in all dance classes and lessons across all of our sites.
